A quick lesson - If you decide to invest in an R.O system, and it will be one of the best decisions you make, and if you live in a hard water area - and most people do, then you need to be aware that the membranes within the system will suffer from scale damage and will result in them needing replacing almost three times as often as if you soften the water prior to the R.O. - some will say that you dont need a softener for your R.O in hard water areas, talk to anybody that knows about R.O they'll tell you the truth.
